We came to serve… but God did something more. 🙏🏾

This past weekend, we had the blessing of partnering with Janel K. Lauren founder of Can I Pray For You?, on the Atlanta BeltLine.

We gave away shirts. We passed out snacks. But the most powerful thing we gave away was something that didn’t cost us anything — prayer.

Watching complete strangers stop, open their hearts, share what they were carrying, and allow someone to pray with them was something I won’t forget.

And somewhere in the middle of trying to bless others, God blessed me too.

It strengthened my own walk with Christ and reminded me that ministry doesn’t always happen inside four walls. Sometimes it’s simply showing up, loving people, and being willing to ask:

“Can I pray for you?”

This is what walking with purpose looks like. One step. One person. One prayer at a time. 🤍

Building a brand means being willing to ask questions, hear honest feedback, and keep learning.

Today I let other footwear factories critique our shoes, asked apparel manufacturers the questions that matter, and continued learning what it takes to grow OSA the right way.

Apparel is coming—but we’re not rushing it. We’re learning, building, and taking the next ordered step.

Two coasts in one week. Every detail chosen on purpose.
This week took me from LA to Las Vegas — sourcing new suppliers, walking a trade show floor, and carrying the memory of my best friend of 30 years into the design of this fall's newest silhouette. The K. Ellington isn't just a shoe. It's brown leather, a red insole for the days that matter most, and a nod to the Oakland A's colors Kyle wore for years.

Success doesn't change what matters. It just gives you more chances to prove it in the little things.

There’s something different about seeing the vision become real.

For months, these shoes have existed in sketches, samples, conversations, prayers, setbacks, emails, late nights and a whole lot of faith.

Now… they’re coming down the production line. 🙏🏾

Pair by pair.
Step by step.

I won’t pretend the road here has gone exactly how we planned it. There have been delays. There have been moments where I’ve had to remind myself to trust God’s timing instead of my own.

But then I get photos like these from the factory…

And I’m reminded that the vision is becoming tangible.

People are about to put their feet into something that started as an idea God placed on our hearts.

And maybe my favorite detail says it best:

“This is just the beginning.”

Because it is.

Three weeks.

That’s all that separates an idea I’ve prayed over for years from the moment it finally becomes reality.

Today I stood overlooking Hollywood, not because we’ve “made it,” but because I wanted to take a moment to thank God for how far He’s already brought us.

In just a few weeks, I’ll be back in California to pick up the very first shipment of Ordered Steps Athletics.

This journey has been full of delays, uncertainty, closed doors, and moments where quitting would’ve been easier.

But I’ve learned something:

Faith doesn’t ignore reality. It chooses hope anyway.

Thank you to everyone who’s been walking this journey with us. Whether you’ve been here from day one or just found this page, I’m grateful you’re here.

The best chapters are still ahead.
