Last week a DoorDash driver stopped by our boutique to drop off an order.
He was so kind that before he left, I handed him a slice of cheesecake. It wasn’t a business decision. It was simply one human being appreciating another.
It also reminded me of something bigger.
When you support a small business, your dollars often reach far beyond the business itself.
At The Lavish Treats Boutique, we don’t just serve our customers. We also rely on delivery drivers through DoorDash, Walmart Delivery, and other local services to help keep our bakery running. Every ingredient, supply, and last-minute run helps someone else earn a living.
Large companies often have their own fleets or order through massive distribution networks. Small businesses? We lean on our community. We depend on local drivers, neighborhood suppliers, and people who are working hard every single day to provide for their families.
So when you choose to support a small business, you’re not just buying a slice of cheesecake or a cake.

That’s the beautiful thing about community. We all rise together.
