If you played the original Mario Party on the Nintendo 64, you probably remember the intense physical pain of the joystick rotation minigames (looking at you, Tug o' War). But did you know it actually became a legal issue?
In the year 2000, after receiving numerous complaints about kids getting friction burns and blisters on their palms from aggressively spinning the analog stick, the New York Attorney General stepped in. To settle the issue, Nintendo literally had to provide protective sports gloves to any Mario Party owner who requested them!
