💔🐴 Yesterday, I lost my sweet Champ.
My heart is absolutely broken. What makes this even harder is that I was at work when Champ passed away. I wasn't home with him, and knowing that I wasn't there to say goodbye is something I'm struggling with more than I can put into words.
If I could have chosen anything, I would have been right there beside him, telling him how much I loved him and thanking him for all the years, memories and companionship he gave me.
Champ wasn't just a horse. He was family. He was part of my everyday life—the feeding, checking on him, worrying about him, caring for him and simply knowing he was out there. Now I look outside and everything feels different.
I tried so hard to help him and make sure he had everything he needed. I just wish I could have had one more moment with him and one last goodbye.
Maybe Champ didn't need me there to know how much I loved him. I hope all the years I spent caring for him told him everything I didn't get the chance to say yesterday. ❤️
And now, Champ, you are back with your pasture buddy, Rapid Dash. 🐴🐴❤️ May the two of you be together again, running side by side through endless green pastures, young and strong once more, with no pain and nothing holding you back.
Run free, my sweet boy. 🌈🐴
I wasn't there for your last moment, Champ, but I was there for your life.
And I will carry you in my heart for the rest of mine. ❤️
Rest easy, Champ. Give Rapid Dash some love from me, and may you both run forever in the greenest of pastures. 🕊️🐴🐴💚
