Our shop has two dedicated witches with a combined thirty years of experience who make our products and manage our space. Both are heavily invested in traditional European witchcraft and harmonizing their lives with the seasonal shifts on their magic-focused organic farm. Together, they craft the magical oils and brews of the shop, foraging and growing their ingredients with the world around them and inspired by years of study and tradition.

Fresh off last night’s candle magic class, we felt compelled to shine a spotlight on our favorite haus service- custom dressed spell candles!

Candles can be used for any spell; large or small. Plus, we have plenty of options to choose from! Feel insecure about your candle manifestation abilities? Stop by and have the shop witches help!

Through consultation, we can help choose the best vigil candle for you. Afterwards, we cleanse, bless + dress your candle, then send you home with instructions on how to burn. We use all of our own haus crafted herbal blends and condition oils in our in-haus spell services!

All of our services are available at the counter, no appointments necessary. Stop by and get all of your magical needs met! We’re open Tuesday through Sunday, 12-6pm. You can find our services menu in the LINK IN COMMENTS.

A “Lecture Series” debut rings in the opening of our infamous “Season of the Witch” calendar! Join us on Thursday September 3rd for “Magic of the Deities of Death” with Shop Witch The Wolf Spirit of Death!

“The deities of death are often approached with either fear, romanticism, or vague assumptions about darkness and the underworld. This lecture offers a serious introduction to working magically with gods, goddesses, and other divine figures associated with death, burial, the dead, and the passage between worlds. It is intended both for practitioners beginning to explore devotional or spirit-based work and for experienced witches seeking a clearer foundation for approaching these powers with respect and purpose.

This class will examine the different roles death deities may hold, including guardians of the dead, rulers of the underworld, guides of souls, keepers of graves, and powers of transformation and renewal. We will discuss offerings, devotional practices, altar work, petitions, spirit etiquette, boundaries, and the difference between honoring a deity and involving that deity in magical work. The final section will explore practical applications, helping students consider when such work is appropriate, how to approach it responsibly, and how to build meaningful rites without reducing complex divine powers to simple correspondences or spell ingredients.”

Welcome to this week’s “Ingredient of the Week” spotlight, witches! This week’s feature is Hibiscus!

Some other folk names for this flower are Kharkady, Graxa, Gumamela, Shoeflower, and Tulipan. Hibiscus is a feminine herb. Her planetary ruler is Venus and her element is Water.

These flowers are brewed into a strong red tea which is consumed for its lust-inducing powers. Hibiscus has also been used in love incenses and sachets. In the tropics, they are placed in wreaths in marriage ceremonies. In the Western Pacific, hibiscus is placed into a wooden bowl filled with water and used as a divination tool.

We are obsessed with the newest member of our haus plant inventory, witches! Let us take a moment to introduce you all to Philodendron ‘Red Heart.’

This uncommon hybrid is named for their dark foliage, with red inner veins that resemble an anatomical heart. This Philodendron prefers a very well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. These plants are sensitive to overwatering, which can cause their leaves to literally melt away. Provide your Philodendron with plenty of bright indirect light and mist regularly.

We have an exciting Lecture Series debut helping to finish off the summer season, witches! Join us on August 28th for “Intro to Necromancy.”

“Necromancy is one of the most feared, misunderstood, and sensationalized forms of magic, often reduced to fantasy, taboo, and occult spectacle. This lecture offers a serious introduction to necromancy for witches who want a more grounded understanding of its place in magical and historical practice. Rather than treating it as mere contact with the dead in the abstract, we will examine necromancy as a complex body of spirit work shaped by ritual, obligation, risk, and the long relationship between witches, diviners, and the dead.

This class will cover the history, meanings, and traditional forms of necromantic practice, along with its connections to ancestor work, graveyard rites, spirit communication, divination, and magical power. We will discuss cultural attitudes toward the dead, the difference between devotional death work and operative necromancy, and the practical and spiritual seriousness required to approach such work responsibly. The lecture will also consider how modern witches may understand necromancy within a contemporary practice, making this an ideal class for those seeking to explore one of witchcraft’s darkest and most compelling arts.”
