10 years of Stanley. And wow… this one has me emotional.
The first time I walked into Stanley Marketplace, I had to wear a hard hat. It was 2016, Stanley was still under construction, and none of us knew just how many stories these walls would eventually hold.
I spent my first seven years here at Rolling Smoke BBQ, running catering and events. I grew here. I met people who started as coworkers, neighboring business owners, customers, and regulars… and somehow became family.
We celebrated together. We struggled together. We survived COVID together. We watched businesses open, dreams grow, lives change, and this old building become so much bigger than any of us could have imagined.
Then, almost three years ago, I took one of the biggest and scariest leaps of my life and signed a lease to open Bonez 4 Budz in the very place that already felt like home.
Looking through these photos gets me. I see so many versions of myself — working events at Rolling Smoke, nervously signing my first lease, and now standing behind the counter of a little business I love more than I can explain.
Stanley isn’t just where my business is. Stanley is part of my story.
It’s the history in these walls, the business owners who became family, the management teams who believed in us, and the regulars who kept showing up until they became part of our lives too.
What a privilege it has been to grow alongside this place for the last 10 years.
Happy 10th Birthday, Stanley Marketplace. Thank you for the friendships, the lessons, the laughter, the tears, the memories, and eventually, for giving my own dream a place to call home.
What a beautiful chapter of our lives this has been ♥️
