Love comes in many different forms. It is warmth and protection, care and justice. You can feel it in the hug from a friend or a knowing look from that ✨️spicy✨️ person in your life. It means different things to everyone...and real love never comes with a price. This we're challenging ourselves to be more open to love in our daily practices, especially self-love (my favorite kind)!

It can often times feel easier to shut down or shy away from allowing ourselves to fully embrace the love that someone is showing us, and to likewise hold back from showering those we care most about with those same feelings. But we only have this one life to live (supposedly, probably), so why hold back? What are you saving all that love up for if not to share it with those you care about?

This week, join us in opening ourselves up to the love around us in all the magical little moments that life has to offer 💕

As a means of reclaiming our sanity, this week we're starting off -- a new series aimed at personal healing and aspiration. These posts are meant to give us (and y'all 💕) a moment to reflect on our intentions for the week and commit to a little extra self-love where we need it most.

Some weeks are harder than others, but having a community of support always makes things feel just a little bit easier. If you have a favorite mantra or aspiration, or something you've been struggling with recently, please feel free to drop a comment!

Life is far too short to be anything but kind. Practice patience with yourself and others ✨️🥰

Been sitting with our feels for a while... The news circulating about the overturn of Roe v Wade is both heartbreaking and terrifying. It promises the end of safe abortions. It threatens the already fragile control we have over our own bodies in this country, the land of the "free". So many of us lack the financial security, the support, hell -- the DESIRE -- to be pregnant. This is an attack on anyone and everyone with a uterus.

We can't afford to be silent right now. Take up as much space as you can and BE LOUD about your reproductive rights. Make those asshats running this show uncomfy af.

Feeling a weird sense of dejá vu waking up to 29° weather, icy roads, and posts about ERCOT and the Texas power grid... ❄️🥶❄️

Let us never forget February 2021, when elected official Ted "I Abandoned My Pet Poodle During a Crisis and Blamed My Family" Cruz left the state for sunny Cancun while thousands here were without power or access to clean water.

It's been almost a full year since that disaster, but has our electric grid been fixed? NOPE. Our governor has instead taken the 🤷🏼‍♂️ approach, done nothing to prevent future outages and wants Texans to just accept that dangerous "load shed" events are to be expected....

Abbott's callousness and our state's lack of preparation resulted in hundreds of deaths last year, and thousands more are still dealing with trauma from that event. ❗️❗️Please remember to hold them accountable during the 2022 election in November when the TEXAS GOVERNOR, LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR, and ATTORNEY GENERAL will all be up for reelection ❗️❗️

Stay warm, y'all. Help those who need it, take care of yourselves, and above all don't leave your poor defenseless pets at home without any heat ✌️

Who else is daydreaming about post-quarantine vacations?

It's been a 'ruff' year, but with vaccinations ramping up across the US (and the world) there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel! A very sunny light, maybe somewhere covered in sand where the soft crash of waves hitting the shore caresses your ear and... 🏖 🌞
