At the heart of Keith Kreeger Studios is a wish for my work to live its life bringing people together around a table. The experiences shared through my work are what keep my small studio team and me pushing to make the next kiln load of pots.

The unknowns of the COVID-19 spread mean that we need to do everything we can to protect each other and our loved ones. The only thing we do know is that we should all reduce non-essential social contact for the near future. I have made the difficult decision to close the studio and showroom to the public for the next two weeks. While I struggled to make this decision, in the end it was quite simple. I have done so because the health and safety of my team is more important than any object we will ever make.

We are a small team, and while our risks may seem low, we must be responsible in this moment. For us, that means taking a break from the studio. My hope is that by acting now, we can get back to making things for you all sooner rather than later...

Remember when It's Alive's Brad Leon paid our studio a visit? It was great to see the whole Bon Appétit Magazine crew at Feast Portland earlier this month.

Check out what happened when Bon Appetit's Brad Leone visited the studio recently in this video of It's Alive: Goin' Places. Keith showed Brad all of the steps to that go into making both hand-thrown wares as well as how we make our custom dinnerware for restaurants and homes.
