This email made my day, and I got permission to share it - get your Chiquita today! 🤔. Hi Mark,

I used the Google machine looking for some vintage guitars to fall in lust with when I came across the man responsible for one of the strangest and most important guitars of my childhood.

Back to the Future was gospel to me as a kid, so finding out the Chiquita was born right here in Austin, by you, felt like some kind of cosmic practical joke.

So yes. I want one.

Yellow.

I’m putting together a garage/noise project now, which means this thing is not going to live politely in a case. I fully intend to plug it into fuzz, make terrible decisions with it, and see how much violence can come out of a guitar that looks like it should be traveling through time.

I normally play in Drop D, so I’d love your thoughts on the best string gauge and setup for the short scale. I’m happy to follow your lead there.

No rush. No deadline. Just wanted to officially put my name on the list for a yellow Chiquita.
