Second Act Thrift Store Household goods will be given a new lease on life! Keeping things out of the landfill and having affordable goods on hand to help make a house a home.

Proceeds will go to Matchbox Children’s Theatre to fund all our programs.

This operational program's mission is to fuel imaginations and create sustainability for MCT and our community through donated goods, resources, and outreach. Our Shopping Policy

- All sales are as-is and final. Check carefully before making your purchase. No returns or exchanges.

- No personal checks accepted. We do accept cash, credit card and Apple Pay.

- No tag, no sale. Items with no tag are returned to the pricing room.

- No pets in the shop. Fragile items need extra caution and some of our customers are allergic.

- No food or beverage in the shop, these are best consumed outside.

- Children must be under adult supervision at all times.

- No large bags or backpacks in store. Can be securely left at check out. ACCEPTABLE DONATIONS

Clothing in good condition - No rips, stains or holes. No unpackaged under garments (socks, bras, underwear). If you would not wear it due to its condition, please do not assume that someone else will. Furniture - Nothing that has been recalled or has strong odors. If it is broken beyond simple repair please dispose of it. Knick Knacks - Not broken or lewd in nature. Small appliances - Blenders, hand mixers, microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens in clean, working condition. Electronics - Must be in working condition.

Hello Austin community and shoppers we would like to make a few announcements!

1. we will only be accepting fall and winter in clothing at this time. Wednesday only for clothing.

2. Join us this week for white tags 50% off and picture frames and wall art 50% off

3. A special thank you to everyone who keeps coming to shop local and support the MCT.

Also I (Megan) will be out of the store this week Friday and Saturday I have some amazing people coming in to help so if you have questions for me personal please let them know and I will do my best to get back to you.

I just wanted to add our hrs of operations as a refresher.

We are still currently only accepting clothing on Wednesday as this has been helping our store be able to maintain nice,clean and new things to be put on the floor. Thank you everyone who has been great about this.

Also get ready for September as we’re planning a special sale you won’t wanna miss!!

A Gentle Reminder to Our Community ❤️

It truly saddens me that we have to make a post about trash and unwanted items being dropped off outside our building while we are closed.

Please remember that we are not a dump or a place to leave unwanted items. We are a donation center that is happy to accept your generous donations when we are open and able to receive them.

We also do not accept food donations. Please do not leave food or other items outside our doors.

It is heartbreaking and disappointing to see our building treated this way. We work hard to keep our store clean, welcoming, and safe for our guests and community.

Please be respectful of our property and wait until we are open to bring your donations. We truly appreciate everyone who follows our donation guidelines and helps us keep our community beautiful. ❤️

Hello thrifters and donations we have decided we are going to try something out to help the store and donation intake.

We have chosen that clothing donations will only be accepted on Wednesdays as we get so many thoughtful donations dropped off to us.

we just can’t keep up with the amount given and want to make sure that we’re able to get the nice things out on the floor and make the store still safe for our volunteers.

We will be trying this out for a bit to see if it helps if not we will go back to the drawing board.

Remember kids and baby clothing are still accepted at the store for donations! Also thank you everyone for bringing clean and nicely folded clothing in it help us tremendously get them hung up and ready for the next person.
