Sometimes we listen to respond. Sometimes we listen only to the voices we expect to have the answers. But what if we simply listened to understand? 🤍

In Job 32:7–9, Elihu admits that he stayed quiet because he was younger. He assumed age and experience automatically meant wisdom. Then he realized something important: wisdom doesn’t always come from the person we expect.

Sometimes God uses the younger person. The quieter person. The person with a completely different perspective. Even the person we might normally overlook.

That’s a reminder I need: I don’t have to agree with every voice I hear, but I can be humble enough to listen.

There may be something God wants me to learn that I’ll miss if I’ve already decided who is worth hearing.
