Well, we have a bittersweet announcement, y’all. Effective today, Nearby ATX is closing up shop. 🥲
When we started in Austin a few months ago, it was with bright eyes and a fire to do what our sister site Nearby Bay Area had done during the height of the pandemic: help small businesses win.
As vaccines have arrived and things have opened up, many of you have returned to shopping in person, which is wonderful. We know there’s nothing quite like being out and about in ATX! However, that does mean there’s been less of a need for what we’re doing here. So it’s time for us to bow out. ❤️
We want to thank y’all for giving us the chance to be part of the Austin community! And to all of our wonderful shop owners, thank you for teaching us more than you will ever know, and for creating the spaces and things that connect ATX as a community.
