Happy Sunday beautiful people!
Today was a day! I had the honor of working once again with CRHS to support their seniors by providing the balloons for Senior Sunset. I was incredibly excited but also really nervous for this event because I had no idea where the weather would take us.
The wind was insane. Absolutely insane with gusts over 20mph! Yet, we tried to persist! But, the wind was just too bad and it was becoming a safety hazard. Of course my heart was broken initially, but on the ride home and after a few laughs with my husband, the message of today hit me.
You can do everything right...prepare, study, have backup plans, etc... but you can't control everything. Sometimes sh*t happens. You can only choose how you respond. And that's what we did. We broke down early and made a plan to come back in the morning and repurpose the arch into two columns for the seniors meeting. This way the hardwork isn't lost and the students get another chance to take photos with it.
While today didn't turn out the way I wanted in my head, it was a great learning lesson and ended with a beautiful message.
