In 2000 Slinky Whistle Bait was created in Denton Texas by two sisters who have a love for all things vintage, remodeled and repurposed. In Denton, we operated our quaint shop within an antique storefront on the historic square. After several years we moved our store to Austin Texas in order to enjoy all of the things the live music capital of the world has to offer. We love it here! After 7 exci

SOLD This beautiful Chinese Wedding Cabinet is a rich honey-colored hardwood (possibly elm) that highlights the natural grain of the wood and showcases its finely carved panels of flowering branches, birds, and Chinese Calligraphy. Above the main doors are carved panels that depict elegant courtly figures in scenes from daily life, adding charm and historical character. Traditional brass hinges, door pulls and hardware complete the cabinet’s stately appearance.
Originally these were presented as part of a bride’s dowry, wedding cabinets were treasured furnishings in Chinese households, used to store clothing, textiles, jewelry, and other valued possessions.
This cabinet would be at home in traditional or contemporary interiors. This statement piece offers generous storage and versatility.
The decorative panels, warm patina, and elegant proportions are a timeless example of late Qing Dynasty furniture.

There have been quite a few new arrivals in my booth the last few weeks, what there hasn’t been are updates and social media post, my bad. Life gets in the way sometimes, 🫠 I’ll try to do better. It’s always busy here and things sell quickly.
