Helios is hiring a Studio Manager!
As I begin stepping back from the daily operations of Helios, Iβm looking for someone special to help keep the heart and rhythm of the studio running.
This is a hands-on daily management role: coordinating staff and schedules, keeping orders and projects moving through the pipeline, staying on top of the thousand little details that make a studio work, and, perhaps most importantly, taking good care of the community that walks through our doors every day.
Finding the right person will allow me to spend more time where I need to be right now, supporting my teenagers through these last years at home, while also giving me the space to help guide Helios into its next chapter.
And there is some hopeful news about that next chapter. A group of artists who love Helios and understand what a special community has grown here are coming together to explore how they might carry the studio forward for years to come. There is still room at that table. If you've ever thought you might want to be part of stewarding Helios into its next 20 years, please reach out to me privately.
In the meantime, we need a wonderful Studio Manager. I'm looking for someone organized, dependable, warm, comfortable managing people and juggling priorities, and genuinely happy working with artists and creative humans. Glass experience would certainly be helpful, but loving people, solving problems, and knowing how to keep things moving matter just as much.
If this sounds like you, or immediately makes you think of someone you know, please contact me at the studio. And please share this with someone who might be a wonderful fit.
With all my gratitude, Kristine Shafer β€οΈβπ₯
