Luck is not the person who calls you easy.
Easy is a story people tell when they only want the sunlight version of you. They praise your laugh, your kindness on good days, your convenient softness, and they call that love. It feels flattering until the first storm arrives and they look surprised, as if you broke a contract you never signed.
Real luck is rarer and far less pretty at first glance. It is the person who stays long enough to notice the opposite: that you are sometimes sharp, sometimes distant, sometimes too much and not enough in the same hour. They watch how you protect the wounded parts of yourself by making them look like walls. They learn the particular ways you go quiet when you are afraid, how you test people without meaning to, how your love arrives fierce and then startles itself and pulls back.
They do not pretend those things are charming. They do not rewrite them into poetry to make the staying easier. They simply see them, name them quietly to themselves, and decide the whole of you is still the place they want to be.
That decision is the luck. Not because it is effortless, but because it is chosen again after the discovery.
Anyone can adore the version of you that costs them nothing. The rare one is the person who looks at the cost, feels the weight of it, and still says: I know. Iβm here anyway.
That kind of staying does not erase the difficulty. It just refuses to treat difficulty as a reason to leave.
And in a world that constantly confuses intensity with incompatibility, that refusal is one of the closest things we get to grace..
and itβs beautiful
