Patriot Day Remembrance

Patriot Day — September 11

Patriot Day is one week away. This September 11 marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks of 2001, a milestone that invites us to pause, remember, and reflect.

We remember the thousands of innocent lives lost and hold their families and loved ones in our hearts. We honor the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the first responders who answered the call that day, as well as all those who have carried the lasting impact of September 11 with them over the past 25 years.

On Patriot Day, American flags are flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset as a solemn symbol of our nation’s remembrance. For flagpoles that cannot be lowered, a black mourning bow or ribbon may be displayed as a symbol of respect and remembrance.

As we mark this 25th anniversary, may we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the enduring strength, compassion, and unity that emerged in the face of tragedy.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
