While we were busy making memories at the fair, our kidding season decided to sneak in one last grand finale!

We were beyond blessed with two beautiful doelings out of Talache’s Cr’ eme De Menthe and Talache’s Hardee. These girls are especially precious to us because we unexpectedly lost Hardee earlier this year, making his final little girls that much more special.

And since they made their arrival during fair season, their names just had to fit the occasion!

Sometimes, one is all you need!

We brought just one Nigerian Dwarf milker to the show today , Ozark’s TAF BF Selene, and this girl sure made her trip count! Selene placed 1st in the Two-Year-Old class and then went on to be named Grand Champion Nigerian Dwarf!

This win feels a little extra special. Last year, Selene had a uterine prolapse that we sewed up at home ourselves, not knowing what her future would hold. Fast forward to this year; she delivered beautiful twins, bounced back like a champ, and then went out and brought it home in the show ring!

She’s one tough little doe, and we couldn’t be prouder of her. Sometimes the best wins are the ones that come with a story behind them.

We were so busy trying to get sables to the ring that we didn’t get any pics today. (We will update the post if we can get one tomorrow) Ozark’s TAF RE Chasing Victory took 1st place junior yearling and Reserve Grand Champion! Overall all it was a great first day of showing at the Missouri State Fair.

We couldn’t pick just one picture for this post! Brayleigh and her girl brought it home again today! Latte Da HH-LN Princess Talia took Grand Champion Junior Doe! We will never be able to think Anne Jones enough for allowing us to bring this gorgeous girl to our farm for our sweet Brayleigh. Their bond is absolutely amazing!

We had a great time at Ozark Empire Fair this weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful and time with our goat family even better. As a bonus we are bringing home a few ribbons!
