Many of us grow up believing that certain foods are automatically the healthiest choice.
The truth? Nutrition isnāt one-size-fits-all.
What works well for one person may not work the same way for someone else, depending on their lifestyle, preferences, and individual needs.
Here are 3 foods many women choose to eat less often:
1. Fat-free dairy products
Dairy can absolutely be part of a balanced diet. However, some fat-free products may contain added ingredients to improve texture or taste. Many people prefer plain yogurt or milk and simply choose the fat content that best fits their individual needs, preferences, and nutrition goals.
2. Flavored instant oatmeal
Oats can absolutely be part of a healthy eating pattern. However, many flavored instant varieties contain added sugars and are lower in protein. Many women choose plain oats with nutritious toppingsāor simply enjoy a breakfast that includes a source of protein.
3. Processed deli meats
Packaged deli meats are convenient, but theyāre often more processed and may contain higher amounts of sodium and preservatives. Many women now choose fresh, minimally processed protein sourcesāsuch as chicken, fish, eggs, beans, or Greek yogurtāas part of a balanced diet. šæ
This isnāt about āgoodā or ābadā foods.
Itās about building meals that work for you and choosing whole, minimally processed foods more often.
Small choices, repeated consistently, can become lasting habits.
