Hey there! I’m so glad I caught you. In case you’re new, here are three fun facts about Thriae that I’d love to share: 🤗🧿

- We donate a portion of our proceeds to The Bee Conservancy. Bees are critical not only for our global ecosystems, but for the very existence of items we use on a daily basis: such as COTTON! This is something that I’m super proud of and is a foundational piece of who Thriae is today. (Our annual donation is right around the corner, so get your orders in to be a part of the impact!)
- Thriae did not start as a textile company, but as a consciously curated marketplace, offering ethically sourced gift items to customers. After sourcing pestemals from wholesalers, I realized I found what I really wanted to focus on and changed the entire course of our business.
- I have a full time job and run Thriae in my “spare” time, but I love love love to read and make time for it every day. My day does not feel complete without diving into a good book. I actually read 104 books in 2023!

Coming to you with a mini cultural immersion today... Here is everything you need to know about what’s currently buzzing (pun always intended 🐝) in my beautiful home country of Türkiye! 🇹🇷

Are you surpised that it’s not as hustle-bustle as you may be currently used to? Life may be slower in Türkiye, but our tummys are alwayssss full. 😉

The weaving techniques used to create Turkish peshtemal towels originate back to 6000 B.C. in Anatolia - where modern Türkiye is today. The history of textile looming in the region is RICH and runs through the hands of generations of artisans. 🎨

It is with reverence to this tradition that we announce the launch of THRIAE HANDMADE: A collection of fully handmade and traditional shuttle loomed pieces - each unique, each with a story, and each holding a piece of ANCIENT ENERGY that transcends time. In order to honor the method of traditional weaving, each style will be available in limited quantities.
