Promotional info about the National Powwow is starting to amp up and it's getting exciting! I'm really looking forward to being a vendor at this special occasion, as it only comes around every 4 years.

It's that time of year again - market season! So here is my confirmed event calendar so far.

The list isn't totally filled out yet, as there are a couple events I'm hoping to get confirmation on still. And I haven't solidified which First Fridays I'll be in yet, so more to come... but I am already looking forward to each event below!

With the new year quickly upon us, I wanted to take some time to express thanks for support this year. In all honesty, 2025 was challenging and hard in every aspect of life, but it also brought some unforgettable new experiences too.

Business-wise, even though sometimes it was tough to stay positive about the amount of effort required by attending markets, it turns out that overall, this little engine is chugging along and showing growth. While I was not able to focus as much on production this year, it actually gave me the chance to work through existing inventory. I also had a consistent flow of custom orders to work on (Thanks to these customers especially for their patience)!

Having several years of markets now under my belt, I've learned quite a few things about what makes markets worthwhile and enjoyable for me, and I'm very proud about every little improvement made to my booth set up - product selection, packing, loading, setting up, tear down - looking back, I've made a lot of adjustments that made it easier for me and my helpers, but did not detract from the booth experience.

I'm still amazed at how many opportunities are left to uncover - there are a few other themed events I am interested in, and I am really looking forward to getting some of my new ideas out of my head and into reality. This year, I resolve to have more time to be in-studio, to refocus on creating new things and restocking!

There's much more that could be said, but overall, I am grateful to have this craft, and to have supporters new and old that encourage me to continue with it. This business has not just been an outlet for creativity, but a channel for sharing connection and joy, for which I am eternally grateful. Seeing the faces of my visitors and customers light up when they find something they love is incredibly rewarding, and it makes me happy to share pieces of me with you.

We preemptively decided that we will not be attending the Hoosier Handmade Winter Market in Franklin after all. We just didn't want to take the risk of facing the wintry hazards either on the way there or back, if it became as severe as predicted.

We wish the best for the market - it's vendors and guests.
