I know flowers are supposed to be vibrant and loud, but I can’t help loving the muted look of an old western vibe in photos. It sets the tone for the days long forgotten. Free time in the dusty outside and no modern distractions, something we have to be really intentional about now if we want it. I think we can all agree that those really were the days.

Yesterday at golden hour— it doesn’t get prettier than this at J.D. Steele Farm where the blooms are abundant at their u-pick. After grabbing as much as I could at my own farm I headed to theirs to cut a fresh bucket of joy for today’s bouquets at the Bloom Saloon. Stunning flowers with some of my favorite varieties, and a cute children’s garden you need to check out if you have little ones. They established their family farm over 90 years ago in 1934 and raise lamb which is currently available for preorder on their website (see comments). Thank you to JD Steele Family!

Honey is BACK at the Bloom Saloon! 🐝

A fresh batch just bottled up from the very loved bees at Swarming Orchard Apiaries. Thank you to Becky who cares so well for the bees and provides this delicious honey to us! 🍯

Moments to share from the gardens. The sunflower tree keeps shooting out buds, the mullein is giant, luffas are really coming in nicely on the arches, and the bee balm is so full of buzzing life every day, it’s the pollinator favorite hands down. I see bumble bees the most but also honey bees, tiny black bees, butterflies, and hummingbird moths.
