I'm passionate about growing all things, and love to help people start gardens of their own. We raise heritage breed turkeys and free range chickens too. The Bloom Saloon will have fresh flowers until the first frost! Dried floral pumpkins coming soon. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year for the stand. Last year we were open until the week before Christmas. We will see how this winter hits with snow and go from there.

New honey batch delivered this week from Swarming Orchard Apiaries and more blind-date-in-books from Blind Date with a Book and small batch home made local soaps from a friend! Flowers are from our mini farm as well as others.

If you’re on my email newsletter you may have seen we’re having a casual open house for the farm and garden this Saturday the 26th from 11-3p. Come see the flowers, chickens, and turkeys and say hi!

Saddle up friends… Honey is restocked this morning from Swarming Orchard Apiaries… freshely harvested and all jarred up for you! 🤠 Payments in the form of homemade biscuits and butter now accepted.

Our seed pod machines! These are repurposed gumball machines filled with seeds 🥳 There’s a third machine outside of the Bloom saloon with a mix of sunflower seeds. The two inside have the “Homestead Mix” with anything from flowers and herbs to veggies. The other is the “perennial bee favorites” seed mix which would be best sown using the winter sowing method. I do that here in January in zone 6a WNY.

I’m currently working on a FOURTH machine, full of colorful zinnias, to take to events and markets.

I’ve provided flowers for some special happenings this summer— from anniversaries and baby showers to graduations and also a wedding! Congratulations to the wonderful and lovely bride and groom Hannah & Brandon! Their July wedding had the most peaceful country setting. We did a “something blue” ribbon for her bridal bouquet, my favorite touch for a fun tradition. These photos are so happy! Photographed by PhotoBella Photography.

Closed up the Bloom Saloon tonight and saw our neighbor’s amazing firework show! Had to get a shot with the sign of course.

Herb harvest! Sage, rosemary, sweet annie, catnip, lavender, and yarrow. Also some eucalyptus. I know it’s too soon for the “C” word but sweet annie smells like Christmas! I’ll be using these organic ingredients to make catnip packs, smudge sticks, and simmer pot jars for fall goodies at the Bloom Saloon.

Thank you for following along! We sold out of bouquets two days in a row this weekend and I’m so thankful for this community. Literally wouldn’t be doing this without you all supporting in all the ways you do!
