Cinnamon attracts luck and love; draws business and financial success; intensifies love affairs and passion; provides spiritual cleansing and protection; stimulates psychic powers; and accelerates results. Create a petition and roll it towards you, forming a small tube. (Post-It Notes work well for this.) Insert the small tube into a stick of cinnamon and keep it close to you to draw what you want. Anoint your cinnamon stick with an appropriate oil and recite your petition over it, once a week, on a day of the week that supports your desires—Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday for money, Friday or Sunday for love, Saturday or Sunday for protection, etc.

The next big storm you have, use the power of the wind to blow away whatever you don't want in your life. Just write what it is on a leaf, step outside, and release it to the wind. Say something like, "I don't care where you go, but go now, and stay away forever," to get rid of a person. Alternately, say something like, "I release X to the wind, to never return in any form or fashion," to get rid of a thing or concept.

It is with much sadness that I report the passing of Priestess Miriam Chamani, owner of The Voodoo Spiritual Temple.

I was blessed to have met her on my only trip to New Orleans. She was most kind and lovely. The kind of person you wished you could spend much more time around. Respect and love to her; may she rest in peace.
