Attention Ladies Reading our first book of the Summer Reading Program - NO MORE BORING BIBLE STUDY ***************
Hey it's Lisa - I hope you are enjoying the book. I can truly say that I'm learning more than I could have imagined. But God's word is like that - always teaching us. Today I was on page 65 - in the chapter titled The Big Picture. Go to that page for a quick second if you've not read that far. Look at the part that talks about the Bible as a literary masterpiece. Story - Jesus told parables "stories". God hard wired us to respond to story. This resonates with me because I love to help writers. I love to write. The Bible has an amazing storyline from start to finish. Sometimes we read it in short snippets. I especially like how the author, Faith Womack points out that it's not just a rule book, a treasure map, or a set of riddles to be solved. The Bible is the story of God redeeming His people for His glory.
