I found this Sounder in a batch of lures I bought recently. It is a well-made imitation of the Heddon Sonic made by Atlantic Lures. This company made knockoffs of popular lures such as the Jitterbug (Frantic Antic).

Here is a package of six lures I recently bought on Ebay. It never ceases to amaze me how thoughtless some online sellers are about packing and shipping their sale items. Leaving aside the issue of respect, you would think that a seller would want to create a return customer by providing quick mailing in clean, well packed, and protected packages. I generally do not return to a seller who is so disrespectful of me that he/she sends my purchase poorly packed.

An interesting fact I learned recently about the wood lures, such as this Shadrac, sold by the Weber Tackle Company--they were actually made by Glen Evans.

For sale is an authentic, original, older than vintage, Mid-20th Century 3 3/4" Hot Shot in the original black glitter pattern made circa 1955 by the old Eddie Pope company of Altadena, California. It is in very good condition with intact body finish, red eyes, attaching hardware, and treble hooks. There is some rust on the metal parts from storage. This model was made by Eddie Pope prior to its acquisition by Luhr Jensen in the 1970s. This is an early version of the Model No. 25. Neither this lure nor the Model No. 25 are being made today. $35.00, free shipping, PayPal Goods and Services only.

Looks a lot like a Dalton or Shakespeare Special, but lacks the back spinner. Any ideas about what it is?
