Well hot DAMN that was fun!! My husband had been wanting us to go on a cruise forEVER. But guess what? Big shocker….I don’t travel well. 🤣 it’s absurd but I am such a homebody and I prefer to go almost NOWHERE. But sometimes ya gotta break out of your comfort zone….so when our dear dear friends ( the husband is a guy Eric went to ELEMENTARY school with! We when to their wedding when we were just dating! They are…the EPIC…Dan & Shelly. Freakin love those 2 ) suggested we try a cruise together ( after our successful Hawaii couples vaca last year ), we were all in. I was medium in. Anywho, we picked a destination, the husbands did their research ( as these 2 are wont to do ) and our vacation planning was a go! We went on a Holland America cruise, significantly smaller than some of those monster ships! The cruise left San Diego and went to through Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta before heading back up the San Diego. And I am NOW on an airplane ( Alaska airlines of course) heading back home!!! I missed home and the shop and my daughter and our dogs n cat and all of you so much!! Had a ball though and absolutely will be doing this again, the husband is hooked on cruising. I want a quilt cruise next. Maybe? But. TOMORROW I will be back in the shop all excited to play with our gorgeous fabrics again!! Yay!

Mystic Fable in store and online NOW. The collection is fantastic of course but this panel? This panel is what pulled me in. Look how versatile it is, make whole cloth quilts, cut the mini panels apart for coordinating throw pillows, appliqué on the back of a jacket, make totes, table linens…ANYTHING. Do you love it? I love it!

A customer wanted more raffia and we had JUST sold out so….time to put a ribbon order! New colors of velvet ribbons, a striped twill tape, paper cording and more..

Went to visit my bebe boy up in Bellingham and missed the hail here on Bainbridge. Yah, I did drive through it briefly on I-5 but it was just a flash. Meanwhile, back at home, we apparently were getting pelted. 🤣 ah spring!

My great thread boycott is coming to an end!! Why was I boycotting thread?? Actually I wasn’t…but we were getting SO LOW on thread that it definitely looked like I was. Situations beyond my control were contributing to the issue …but I figured it out and we’ll be back to full regular stock in just a couple weeks. There are STILL some shortages from my vendors but at least now BOTH of my main notions vendors are carrying this brand and…well….if you want the full rant/story, just ask me next time you come in. 🤣
