Happy Monday, friends! 🌿💖 Hope everybody’s having a great day!

We took advantage of today to tackle some projects around the shop… which apparently meant I needed to stand on top of a table. 😂 Adding more grow lights! Big dark is coming 🖤

But you know what? It’s actually pretty cool seeing Radical Roots from a totally different perspective. 🌈🌿 Sometimes you just need to change your view a little — or climb on some furniture — to appreciate what’s right in front of you.

And from up here, she’s looking pretty freaking magical. ✨ Lush, colorful, a little wild, definitely a little messy… and very, very Radical Roots.

Sometimes a different perspective is all you need. 💖🌱

Feeling extra grateful for this little shop—for the plants, the color, the weird treasures, and the chance to build it all while raising my sweet boy. 🥹

Running a small business while being a mama is messy, exhausting, beautiful, and magical all at once—and I truly couldn’t do it without you.

Well, that’s a wrap!! 🌿✨ Our officially FIRST off-site private terrarium-making party is in the books!

We packed up our little jungle and headed out to Woodinville today, and it was SO much fun. 💚 Even cooler—the winery loved it so much that they’re thinking about making Radical Roots terrarium parties a regular entertainment offering at their spot. UM… how cool is that?! 🥹🌱🍷

It was also really fun being back in my old stomping grounds! Fun fact: I worked for a music company in Redmond for seven years, lived in Woodinville for a bit, and spent a LOT of time out there. So it felt pretty special getting to bring Radical Roots back with me. 💚

Such a fun Saturday, and the SUNSHINE even decided to show up! ☀️🌿

Happy Friday, friends! 💕🌿

We had the most ADORABLE birthday party at Radical Roots today, and these girls were just the sweetest. 🥹💗

There’s something so cool about watching people get excited about plants—but especially little people. 🌱✨ Watching them create their own tiny worlds, pick out all the little details, and completely run with their imaginations is honestly one of my favorite parts of hosting these parties.

And the best part? No two creations are ever the same. They each have their own ideas, their own style, and their own little bit of magic. ✨🌿🧚‍♀️

It’s pretty incredible to see what they come up with.

📚🌿 It’s officially plant book weather at Radical Roots! 🍂☕️

One of our favorite things about our little shop is filling it with things we genuinely love — beautiful plants, special finds, and books we’d happily take home and keep on our own coffee tables. 💚

We have so many gorgeous plant books tucked around Radical Roots, just waiting to be discovered. And on a cloudy, rainy fall day, what could be better than picking out a new book from your local plant shop, heading home, getting cozy, and finding a little inspiration for your own indoor jungle? 🍂📖🪴

We especially LOVE Hilton Carter’s books. His style, his spaces, and the way he brings plants into a home and makes everything feel lush, collected, and alive… we just love it ALL.

So come wander around Radical Roots, flip through a few books, talk plants with us, and spend a little time in our cozy corner of the community. 🌿✨

We’re open TODAY from 11–3:30! We’re closing a little early because we have a birthday party in the shop 🎂🪴🥳

And the celebrating continues tomorrow! We have another birthday party Saturday, but the shop will be open 11–5. 💕🌱

✨🌱 HAPPY MONDAY! 🌱✨

How COOL is this Earth Star?! ⭐️🪴

Earth Stars (Cryptanthus) are funky little members of the bromeliad family, native to Brazil. Unlike many bromeliads that grow up in trees, Earth Stars are terrestrial — meaning they grow right down in the soil! 🌎

A few fun facts:
⭐️ Their name comes from their low-growing, star-shaped leaves.
🌈 They come in the coolest colors — pinks, reds, greens, silvers + stripes.
🌸 They can produce tiny little flowers tucked right into the center of the plant.
🌱 After flowering, the mama plant will eventually produce little “pups” that can become brand-new Earth Stars!

CARE: Give them bright, indirect light to keep those colors vibrant, and water when the top inch or so of soil starts to dry. They appreciate a little extra humidity, but don’t want to sit soggy. Keep them warm + cozy and they’re pretty happy little weirdos. 💕

Basically… a tiny living star for your plant collection. ⭐️
