This morning at 7:46 AM, the Zachary Fire Department, together with the Baton Rouge Fire Department and other East Baton Rouge Parish fire departments, paused for a moment of silence—the exact time the first tower was struck 24 years ago on September 11, 2001.

We honor and remember the 2,977 lives lost, including the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service that day.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸🕊️
