The mission of Double-Tap Fi****ms is to provide customers with a unbiased, friendly and informative experience with a variety of items, items you want, as opposed to other stores telling you what you want, to make a sale. Marty is a retired deputy sheriff who served the residents of Kern County for more than 30 years. Fi****ms, ammunition and law enforcement equipment in general have been a part of that 30-year experience. This experience gives me a great background in weapons and ammunition.

“I believe in the 2nd Amendment. Citizen has the right to possess and own a firearm of their choice, legally, under the law, for his/her protection and/or the protection of their family, for hunting or other sporting reasons. I believe that current California gun laws are to strict, but we must follow the law until it is changed, for the betterment of every U.S. Citizen living in California”.

“I didn’t start this business to get rich, because I know a business’s-like mine and so many others like it, will never reach that point. I believe in providing a good quality item to a customer at a low price, with a deal that is honest, fair with 1 on 1 personalized service. This is my way of supporting the 2nd Amendment”. With crime rates rising, more than ever before in California, a lack of law enforcement officers and extended response times along with the current and continued release of felons from prison into the public. There is no better time to consider a new firearm for your protection. But before you buy, call Marty at Double-Tap Fi****ms 661-340-7357. We offer the following:

On top of the excise tax you’ll get extra fees, mandatory training…

Let's call this exactly what it is: a poll tax on a Natural right.

This slick-haired as***le loves to lecture about equity, but he’s perfectly happy pricing Californians out of their right to self-defense.

The 3rd U.S Circuit Court of Appeals 15 judge panel in a 10 to 5 ruling, AR15 "Assault" style rifles, including magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds, unconstitutional in New Jersey's gun control law. "The Second Amendment covers all magazines, not just magazines that New Jersey considers standard capacity"
The U.S Supreme Court will hear similar challenges for Connecticut and Chicago soon. Each of these ruling will.have an impact on California's current pending 9th Circus cases.

On July 1st the City of Bakersfield annexed a huge area that includes my residence and business. There was no warning or notice by the city or from Kern County. On July 2nd, I was told I could not operate my business without possession of a City of Bakersfield business license. On the same day, I sumitted application and fees for said license. I was then told I would receive my business license in approximately 14 business days. Until the license is received, Double-Tap Fi****ms cannot make ANY sales. My apologies for those waiting on ammunition and fi****ms. This has had a major effect on the business and my customers. Thank you for your understanding, Marty.

The Supreme Court on Thursday struck down a Hawaii law that makes it a crime for gun owners to bring their guns onto private property that is open to the public unless they have the property owner’s specific consent. In Wolford v. Lopez, by a vote of 6-3, the justices agreed with a group of Maui residents with concealed-carry permits that the law violates the Second Amendment’s guarantee of the right to bear arms.

Thursday’s decision will have an impact not only in Hawaii, but also in four other states – California, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey – with similar laws.

In his 24-page opinion for the court, Justice Samuel Alito wrote that the law “hobbles what the Second Amendment protects: the right of Americans to carry arms for self-defense as they go about their daily lives.” Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who dissented, countered that the law “fairly applies a first principle of property law—the right to exclude—and does no harm to the Second Amendment.”

Hawaii passed the law in 2023, just under one year after the Supreme Court’s decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen. In Bruen, the court invalidated a New York handgun-licensing law that required state residents who wanted to carry a handgun in public to show that they had a special need to defend themselves. The court also made clear that the Second Amendment protects a broad right to carry a handgun outside the home for self-defense. In his opinion for the majority in Bruen, Justice Clarence Thomas emphasized that courts should uphold gun restrictions only if they are “consistent with the Nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation.”

Copied from The Hill.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Wednesday warned California that its “Glock ban” violates the Second Amendment and shared plans to file a federal complaint against the Golden State in court if officials do not cease enforcement of the law.

“Californians have the constitutional right to acquire and use state-of-the-art handguns to protect themselves,” Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon wrote in a Wednesday letter to Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.).

“They should not be forced to settle for decade-old models of handguns to ensure that they remain safe inside or outside the home,” she added.

Her correspondence follows the passage of California’s Assembly Bill 1127, which will prohibit licensed fi****ms dealers from selling or transferring any “machinegun-convertible pistol” starting on July 1.

The law also reclassifies Glocks, which are Austrian-engineered semi-automatic pistols, as “machinegun-convertible” because their trigger mechanisms can be quickly modified with illegal, aftermarket conversion devices.

Current owners of these pistols are legally permitted to keep their fi****ms, and sales to law enforcement agencies or the military are exempt.

Dhillon’s Wednesday letter said she authorized the filing of a complaint in federal district court against California over the ban but said she would consider deferring the filing if state officials enter pre-suit negotiations.

“Although the specific provisions are open to discussion, a resolution must at a minimum require that the State: (1) immediately cease enforcement of the laws identified above; (2) acknowledge the unconstitutionality of these laws; and (3) agree to enter into a court-enforceable consent decree permanently enjoining the State from violating its citizens’ constitutional rights through these or any similar laws,” Dhillon wrote.

DOJ gave California until 5 p.m. Tuesday to agree to a “voluntary resolution.”

Newsom’s office and California Attorney General Rob Bonta (D) did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment on the matter.
