Tonight, I walked out of Hogg Pen after having a drink with some friends, looked across the street, and just stood there for a moment.
There was Wild Urban.
The very place I had always dreamed of having my boutique. Years ago, I would have never imagined it would grow into what it has today. Some weeks, I’ll be honest… I question everything. I wonder if the stress is worth it, if the financial ups and downs are sustainable, especially during slower months like July, and if I’ll be able to keep going. Being a small business owner isn’t always glamorous. It’s filled with uncertainty, long days, and countless decisions.
But then I remember what this journey has given me.
It’s given me friendships that have become family. It’s introduced me to incredible customers who believed in me from day one and so many others who have found their way through our doors over the years. It’s allowed me to create something unique in our small town, a place that I hope makes Baldwin feel just a little more special for the people who live here and those considering calling it home.
I don’t know what the future holds. Maybe this adventure lasts another year, maybe it lasts another ten. What I do know is that I wouldn’t trade the memories, the lessons, or the amazing people I’ve met because I took a chance on a dream.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for shopping small, sharing our posts, cheering me on, and reminding me why I started this in the first place. You’ve made this dream bigger than I ever imagined, and for that, I will always be grateful. ❤️
