💜Happy National Thrift Shop Day: Celebrating the Hearts Behind the Finds🌼

This week, we’re celebrating something pretty special at Adoray’s Treasures from the Heart... National Thrift Shop WEEK!

From August 17–22, all four of our Treasures from the Heart stores are celebrating the people who make these little shops so much more than places to find great treasures.

To our amazing Baldwin store teams, thank you for the energy, kindness, creativity and heart you bring through our doors every day. You are the heart behind the heart of our stores, and the reason our customers feel welcomed, valued and connected to something bigger.

And to our incredible volunteers and donors, our gratitude runs deep. Every hour volunteered, every bag donated, every piece of furniture, clothing or treasure shared helps make Adoray’s mission possible. Because of you, gently loved items find new homes while the proceeds help provide compassionate care and support to people and families in our communities.

That’s the beautiful circle of thrift: one donation becomes a treasure, one purchase creates an impact, and together, it helps bring Compassion in Action to those who need it most.

💚💛 James’ Dream: Ready for Packers Season! 🏈

For James, Packers season isn’t just football, it’s something to look forward to, talk about, and enjoy. And today, as the Packers kick off preseason tonight at 6 p.m. against the Pittsburgh Steelers, James is ready to cheer them on!

A true Wisconsin man, James loves motorcycles, tattoos, country music, and, of course, the Green Bay Packers. Our Adoray team knew he needed to be fully prepared for game days and some serious tailgating!

His Dream Big care package included Packers décor for his room, a new Packers hat, favorite snacks like Pepsi and Nacho Bugles, plus country music CDs and movies with a CD player and headphones so he can enjoy his favorites anytime, even while sharing a room.

It may seem like the little things, but those little things are James. They are the pieces that make up who he is, what he loves, and what brings him joy.

That’s what compassionate care at Adoray is all about, knowing the person, not just the patient, and caring for their mind, heart, and soul.

Our 11th Hour Companions are a special part of Adoray’s Circle of Care, providing a comforting presence in the final hours. These specially trained staff and volunteers sit with patients, offer a knowledgeable and compassionate presence, and ensure no one has to face life’s final moments alone.
