Today invite your little one build a snowman. Add the eyes, hat, nose and mouth first before adding the cotton ball snow. Once the cotton balls go on the sticky wall it will be harder to stick anything else up. Next add the buttons.
This is great fine motor skills activity.

Every year, one of my favorite Christmas traditions is baking cookies and now I can do it with my busy toddler

By the end of our baking session, we are both covered with flour and icing and the kitchen is messy, but it is such fun.

Today we are going to have a quiet Friday evening reading.
And for this special time we will make a tent. You can do it under the table, between two chairs or any other way you can possibly imagine depending on your free space in a house.
But don’t forget about Christmas lights, flash light or artificial candles.
Enjoy your family time.

I love all the little rituals of Christmas don’t you?

One of my favourites is making Christmas cards.

Nothing fancy.

Just simple stuff we can make with supplies we’ve got in the house.

On one of those grey winter days when it really is too wet to go outside.

Finger prints. Hand and feet prints.

But that’s what Christmas is about isn’t it …?

… all those little traditions are what makes it special. Especially for kids.

Even when they’re tiny.

AND they’ll be happy to make again. Year after year.

Got snow but want to be warm inside? No problem! Just fill a sensory bin or container with the snow from outside.

Once inside there are so many ways kids can play. Give kids cups with colored water so that they can paint the snow. Mix 5-10 drops of food coloring with water and you will have a snow paint.
