Just sayin…here’s my theory and receipts. Jon is fearless…since a kid. Being shot at by his father is a test, but he is also emotionless. Manhunters evolve and can make more. What if the same Manhunter aka Jon’s dad figured out intraspecies procreation or how about we don’t see Jon’s mother at all. Not a mention. He is being trained by his father to become a Lantern to take out the creators. Hal finds out the truth about the smurfs and is convinced by the Manhunter to allow him to live on Earth and Hal regrets this unforgivable sin…that is why he can’t stand Jon. He is his replacement, he’s a hybrid between human and Manhunter. Hal knows about the lies his bosses have given him and is a reluctant accomplice who can’t fix his mistake. Parallax is coming and Hal is not dead…that’s for another post.
