Steve Earle says it’s best not to mention the name of this instrument in an airport.

Trinity College arrived with its top caving in and in need of a spa day. We rehydrated the box, re-glued a few braces, carved a new bone saddle and strung it up with octave strings on the lower courses. EADG tuning, and it sound great.

An old friend stopped by for a visit before heading into the studio. We have done a lot of work together. New pickup installations, the Bigsby vibrato, baritone neck conversion, custom wiring mounted into a custom pickguard…. And now, the legendary with a hand-carved bone nut. I can’t wait to hear the new tracks!
