If I lost everything tomorrow and had to start my event rental company from scratch, these are the first five categories I’d invest in.

Not every piece of inventory is a good investment. Some items are beautiful. Some items are profitable.

The goal isn’t to buy everything. The goal is to buy strategically.

What would you add to the list?

One thing about the event rental industry... the RIGHT inventory can change your entire business.

This phone booth cost me less than $500 to buy and went on to generate well over six figures in revenue.

That’s why I always tell people: stop only buying inventory because YOU think it’s cute.

The real money is in standout pieces that create demand and make people instantly think of your brand.

Some inventory is cute.
Some inventory is profitable AF😌

Luxury wasn’t an accident.. It was strategy.
I knew early on that I wanted a business model built around higher-ticket inventory, stronger branding and clients who valued experience over discounts.

That decision completely changed the trajectory of my event rental business.

And honestly? I’d make the same decision all over again.

Save this. Seriously. 🌏

This is me on the floor at Canton Fair talking directly to a supplier. And if you’ve ever thought about importing products for your business here are the exact questions you need to be asking before you send anybody a single dollar.

MOQ — minimum order quantity. How many units do you have to buy to place an order. Know this before you fall in love with a product.

Production time — most products are not sitting on a shelf waiting for you. Budget 30 to 90 days just for them to make it.

Shipping time — add another 30 to 60 days on top of that. You could be waiting 3 to 4 months from order to delivery. Plan accordingly.

Peak season — when is your supplier’s busiest time? Ordering outside of their peak season can speed everything up significantly.

FOB — Free on Board. This is when ownership transfers to you. From that point YOU are responsible for shipping costs. Understand this before you sign anything.

Customs clearance — your goods have to clear your country’s import regulations before they reach you. Ask your supplier what paperwork is required upfront.

I learned all of this the hard way so you don’t have to.

The Buyer’s Guide is getting an upgrade. Drop CANTON in the comments and I’ll send you a discount plus details on booking a 1:1 sourcing session with me.

Welcome to Ask B 💭
For years, you’ve been sliding into my DMs asking for business advice. And honestly? These conversations are some of my favorite.

So I’m making it official. The questions you’re asking in private? I’m answering them publicly because if you’re wondering, someone else is too.

On today’s episode: Should I take a $13K/month space even though I’m scared?

Here’s the thing: Big moves require BIG strategy.
I’m all for taking risks but they need to be CALCULATED risks. Which means asking yourself the hard questions BEFORE you sign the lease.

This is the kind of financial planning we work through in my coaching sessions so you’re moving with confidence, not just hope.

They say, “Girl, you’re so lucky your business is doing so well.”

But luck had absolutely nothing to do with it. It’s been hard work, faith and a whole lot of figuring it out (not to mention a ton of bp meds🫠) while trying not to fall tf apart.

The truth is, this economy is terrible. Clients aren’t spending the same, business feels unpredictable and it’s easy to think that maybe, just maybe, you’ve lost your touch.

You haven’t.
This is just pivot season.

The season where you lean on community, get creative again and remind yourself that storms don’t last.. they water the next level.

Even when the forecast is cloudy, keep building.
You’re not alone in this. We’re all just out here trying to make something beautiful grow in uncertain soil.

Drop a “☁️” if you’ve been feeling this season too and stay close.

Six Figure Seasons is back to remind you that even when it’s cloudy, there’s still purpose in the pivot. 🌿

On Sundays, we keep it soft but we’re still keeping it strategic.

This is your reminder:
You don’t need perfect timing. You don’t need a perfect setup, a perfect bank account or the perfect moment.

You can bloom right where you are..
in imperfect conditions, with imperfect circumstances AND still thrive.

So this Sunday, take a breath to reflect & reset.
Your growth is valid and your bloom is happening.
Even if it doesn’t look like anyone else’s🤍

Drop a 🌸 if you’re blooming in this season even through the chaos.
