I sipped a milkshake next to vintage cowboy boots in a 108-year-old building in Bandera.

The Bandera General Store still has its original wood floors and tin tile ceiling, plus an old-fashioned soda fountain using Blue Bell ice cream. Ask about their resident ghost, Henry.

I know it’s early to talk about Christmas but if you’re alone and would enjoy company the General Store will be hosting its 14th annual open house on Christmas Day. Food, entertainment and great company. Mark it on your calendar!!

If you’ve spent any time in Bandera, chances are you’ve stopped by the Bandera General Store.

Right in the middle of downtown, this historic shop is a favorite stop for visitors looking for Texas souvenirs, a scoop of ice cream, or a glimpse of Bandera’s cowboy heritage.

And right next door is Arkey Blue’s Silver Dollar, one of the town’s most well-known spots for live music.

It’s one of those classic Bandera storefronts on Main Street that locals and visitors both recognize right away.

Hear yea! Hear yea! The Bandera General is overstocked on vintage boots. We will be having a 1/2 off sale or 2 for 1 sale . Buy one, get one free. Your choice!! Nocona, Dan Post, Ariat, Luchesse, Justin etc. Plus lots of work boots under $50. The sale is this Labor Day weekend. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday!!! Now’s the time for new Dancing Boots or stocking up for Winter. I hope to see you!!!

The Bandera General Store rewards its High School employees who work here their Sophomore through senior years with a $500 bonus. This year we honor Addysen Bailey. She has been an exceptional student and a fantastic employee. A tremendous asset to our store, always cheerful and helpful to our customers and a leader for our new employees.
