Great service, knowledgeable about books and affordable prices. Plus, come see Pozzey, the wonder chiweenie! History:

Established in 2009

What started out as U-NEEDA-Book, a small bookstore on the fringe of Old Town Bandon, has morphed into in extensive, diverse collection of books located in the heart of Old Town. Owner Kimberly Small-Jonas purchased the bookstore and expanded it. Books are Kimberly's passion and she managed the store for a couple of years before she purchased it from the previous owner, Phil Arlen of Happy's Books. Meet the Business Owner: Kimberly J. Kimberly has always had a passion for books. Some of her earliest memories are of hiding under the covers with a flashlight and reading stacks and stacks of books. Surrounded by books (literrally) everyday, Kimberly can not imagine any place else that she would rather be. (Except maybe Machu Pichu, or Egypt, lol)

I don't usually say anything, but.........
I am still getting calls about books. I haven't been open for 2 years. And my building has been empty and the signs down for months.
If you want your local businesses to be here for you, then you need to frequent them more than twice a year. I'm not trying to be difficult, I'm just stating a fact. If you want to do all your shopping online, do not be bummed when your local store is no longer there.
Shop local or lose the option.

It is with many mixed emotions that I announce the closure of Kimberly's Book Nook. I had a feeling when I walked out the door March 20th of 2020, when non-essential businesses were shut down, that I would not be coming back. I have loved this bookstore for 15 years and considered myself the keeper of other people's stories. I loved to meet so many new people and enjoyed the visits with the people that came to see me from all over, year after year. I got to watch their kids grow up and have formed some lasting friendships. Now it's time for me to start a new chapter in a whole new book of my own. I do not know what I will be doing in a year's time, and I'm okay with that. As much as I have loved the bookstore it is part of an old life that no longer fits me. Thank you so much to all of my customers and all the people that have supported the bookstore and myself over the years. You all allowed me to do something I loved so much for much longer than I thought I would get to. I am not gonna say this isn't hard.....but sometimes it's ok when things are hard and I know it's for the best. Thank you and now, I shall go eat chocolate. Lol. Does this mean I can call myself retired? ;)
Oh yes..... My books are going south. They will now have a new home at the Forecastle Bookstore in Brookings. If you go visit them, tell Michael (the person with me in the pic) I sent you. :)
Also.....the owls. Thanks for all the owls over the years. ❤️
