Welp I didn't want to ask my friends on here but not only did we lose our case (based on caveat eptor,) the lawyers majorly screwed up, so we now have to pay this as****es lawyers fees (within 25 days). So we will be in a massive amount of debt. Trying to contact the Maine Bar Association for misrepresentation, the Maine Housing Authority, The Maine Veterans Bureau. Hit a road block with the VA, hit it with the Consumer Protection Agency. Might try the CFA? The Habitat for Humanity project wouldn't help us and just make things worse. So if you guys have any ideas or know any pro boo attorneys in Maine, that would be great. Might have to go after Veterans United too. Maine Veterans Project
In the meantime, I have this set up. Greg and I are now trying to see if laws can get changed for Veterans so they dont get screwed like we did (a lady in NT is going through the same thing.)
Spread the word if you can.
Cheers
