Where next season begins.

The catalogs have been flipped through.

The Expo aisles have been walked.

The notes have been made.

And now...

the orders are starting to come together! 🌿

Little by little, Spring 2027 is taking shape — plants, pots, products and all those little details that eventually become the Windswept Gardens you walk into next spring.

Some things are already ordered.

Some things are still being debated.

And there may be a few new finds from our Expo trip sneaking onto those order sheets too. 👀

But first, we have another busy weekend ahead!

📣 Windswept Gardens will be CLOSED Saturday, September 19 while we're at the Bangor Waterfront Makers Market from 9 AM–2 PM.

We'll be packing up the car again and bringing a little piece of Windswept Gardens & Indoor Oasis with us.

If you're heading to the Waterfront, come find us and say hi! 🌿

Then it's back to the desk... because apparently Spring 2027 isn't going to order itself. 😂

One of our favorite parts of Indoor Oasis is watching someone walk around saying:

“I don't NEED another plant...”

And then finding the one. 😂🪴

Where next season begins.

Ummm... I seem to have misplaced my desk this week. 😂

This week's version has a windshield, four wheels and a destination: the Expo!

We're traveling this week looking for new products, meeting with vendors, checking out what's new for 2027 and, most importantly, working to find the best products and deals we can bring back to Windswept Gardens & Indoor Oasis.

Trade shows are one of those behind-the-scenes parts of running a garden center that customers don't always get to see.

There are rows and rows of vendors, new products everywhere and LOTS of decisions to make.

Some things we'll love.

Some things we'll walk right past.

And hopefully we'll find a few things that make us stop and say...

Yep. THAT needs to come home with us. 👀🌿

So while Kristi's Desk is temporarily traveling down the highway, we'll be doing a little shopping for all of YOU.

Where next season begins.

Well... this week's desk looks a little different. 😂

The car is packed, the bins are loaded, the tent is strapped to the roof and we're getting ready to take Windswept Gardens & Indoor Oasis on the road!

Tomorrow you'll find us at Bass Park After Dark at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor from 4–9 PM, with live music, food trucks and an artisan market.

⚠️ Just a reminder: Windswept Gardens will be closing early Saturday so we can pack up and head over to the event.

Then we'll unpack it all, set it all up... and somehow fit it all back into the car afterward. 😂

September is shaping up to be a busy month around here — fall at the nursery, events on the weekends AND 2027 planning still happening behind the scenes.
