We specialized in a Woolshed that encompasses Maine, Northern New England and Atlantic Canada. Maine Yarn & Fiber Supply puts the focus on Maine raised and connected fiber. In doing so we proudly support sustainable agriculture in our state, as well as the many excellent fiber farms we work with. We also produce several lines of our own yarn and spinning fiber. , yarns are made from breed specific, single farm fleece that we select. We grade and assess this fiber to determine the yarn it will become, then we send the fleeces to a mill in Northern Maine. The result is amazing yarn that you cannot get anywhere else. Each batch is limited. Each year is unique. We specialize in strong wool breed such as Romney, Coopworth, Border Leicester and Gotland. We also work with fine wools such as Columbia, fFnn, merino crosses and more. Other lines that we carry are Peace Fleece, Jagger Spun, Briggs & Little, and Green Mountain Spinnery. Our inventory is dynamic, our staff is excellent. We are also a dealer for Schacht Spindle Co., and have many of their wheels and spinning tools on site. We hope that you visit us.
