Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site Army and allied Plains tribes. Before Custer, there was Fetterman. Fort Phil Kearny also interprets the Wagon Box and Fetterman Fight Sites.

Fort Phil Kearny served as the central post for the three forts guarding the Bozeman Trail, becoming a focal point of Red Cloud’s War, bearing witness to the most pivotal clashes between the U.S. Ten years prior to the Battle of the Little Bighorn ("Custer's Last Stand"), Fort Phil Kearny faced a surprise attack by Arapahoe, Cheyenne, and Lakota tribes that devasted the fort and left survivors to

bury 81 men in the brutally frigid temps of December 1866. Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site's Interpretive Center narrates this dramatic story and others that illustrate Native and Soldier life, engagements, and terrain at the feet of the Big Horn Mountains. Encompassing over 1000 acres and three major interpretive locations, visitors will be amazed by the rich history of the sites, diverse wildlife, and breathtaking views across what the Lakota people called "The Picnic Basket" for its wealth of restorative offerings. Visitors can tour the original site of the largest stockaded fort in the West, as well as the Interpretive Center and Gift Shop. Just 5 minutes off I-90, uninterrupted views of the Big Horn Mountains and outdoor interpretation make Fort Phil Kearny a worthwhile stop.

We're looking for bleachers to borrow for our upcoming Full Moon Fort event later this month. Does anyone know of a business that would loan/rent out bleachers that are still small enough to load onto a 16-foot trailer?
