The Farmstand is overflowing with the best flavors of summer.

Fresh corn, juicy tomatoes, local meats, artisan cheeses, and plenty of sweet treats are making it one of the island’s favorite stops for easy, fresh family dinners.

While you’re here, grab one of our Frost Farms totes. They’re perfect for Farmstand finds, Garden Center treasures, and every summer haul in between.

There’s nothing like late afternoon at Frost Farms when the summer light stretches across the Garden Center and the breeze rolls in from Clark Cove.

From above, you can really take it all in: rows of lush plants, the cove beside us, and Cadillac Mountain in the distance.

Between the changing tides, the ocean air, and our unique location on Mount Desert Island, there’s a special ecology surrounding Frost Farms.

We like to think our plants benefit from it as much as we do.

Why do gardeners love Echinacea? A few of these beauties can instantly transform your garden, attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, and even offer well-known medicinal benefits.

We have so many varieties at Frost Farms right now, from classic pink and purple Coneflowers to oranges, yellows, reds, and creamy whites.

Plant them in full sun with well-drained soil, water regularly while they establish, and group a few together for the biggest impact.

Mix colors and varieties to create layers throughout the garden, and leave some seed heads standing later in the season for the birds.

Beautiful, dependable, and back again next year. There’s a reason Echinacea never goes out of style.

Looking to add lasting color and texture to your landscape? Our newest hydrangea varieties have arrived and are ready to shine.

The compact Bobo Panicle Hydrangea is covered in enormous white blooms that gradually antique to beautiful shades of soft pink as the season progresses. It’s perfect for smaller gardens, borders, and foundation plantings while still delivering an impressive floral display.

Little Lime Panicle Hydrangea puts on a spectacular show all summer long, beginning with fresh lime-green blooms that mature to creamy white before developing gorgeous pink tones as fall approaches. Its compact habit and reliable color make it a standout in any landscape.

The Proven Winners Puffer Fish Hydrangea is a stunning native smooth hydrangea featuring oversized, cloud-like white blooms on exceptionally strong stems that keep the flowers standing tall all season long. It’s an outstanding choice for creating a bold statement while supporting native gardens.

Stop by Frost Farms to see these beautiful new arrivals, or order online through Plants Direct and have your hydrangeas shipped straight to your door in less than three days, healthy, protected, and ready to plant.
