Please join me in prayer for this sweet couple on their big day!

Father,

We come before You with so much excitement and gratitude for Destiny & Nick on this beautiful day that You have given us. We thank You for these moments of joy and bliss in a world that can sometimes feel so heavy. What a gift it is to pause and celebrate love, commitment, and the beginning of a beautiful new chapter.

Father, we pray that You would richly bless this union and make it fruitful in every good and godly way. May their marriage shine so brightly with Your goodness, grace, and faithfulness that it becomes a visible display of Your love to those who may not yet know You and an encouragement to those who do.

May Destiny and Nick seek You together in their valleys and praise You in unison from their mountaintops. When life is difficult, may they cling to You and to one another. When life is beautiful, may they never forget to give You the glory.

Today, what was once two becomes one. May they always find comfort, strength, laughter, and friendship in one another. May their love grow deeper with every season and may their home be a place where Your presence is felt, Your Word is honored, and Your love is evident.

We pray a special blessing over everyone gathered here today. May each person feel the warmth of Your presence as though they are wrapped in sunshine, and may the joy of this day remind us all of the goodness found in love and covenant.

Father, we praise You for marriage. We praise You for love. And we praise You for the beautiful life and purpose You have planned for Destiny & Nick.

May their marriage be a reflection of You all the days of their lives.

Who knew that the book my weekly Bible study group and I are reading would so perfectly speak into my day today? Honestly, it shouldn’t surprise me. That’s how the Lord works. He faithfully speaks to us when we’re willing to slow down and listen.

Today, I dropped the boys off with their grandparents, grabbed some lunch, and headed to the library so I could have some peace and quiet to curate my flower order for an upcoming wedding and order all the supplies I’ll need. This process usually takes me at least 2½ hours per event because I truly want to get it right. It’s what I call “the not-so-fun part of floristry.” And if I’m honest, finding uninterrupted time to do it can be difficult with two little boys who need my attention 98% of the time (the other 2% they’re sleeping 😆).

We’re currently reading M Is for Mama, and this chapter discusses the difference between self-care and soul care. The author talks about how easily we can get tangled in the mindset of, “I deserve ______ because of ______.” Our flesh naturally leans toward entitlement.

One line especially stood out to me:

“These moments of alone time with the Lord, my laptop, and delicious food are a privilege, not something I deserve.”

The busier life becomes and the more overwhelmed I sometimes feel, the more I realize what a privilege these seemingly mundane florist tasks really are. They’re not just work. They’re opportunities to be still, to create, and to hear from Him in the quiet.

Philippians 4:19 reminds us:

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

Today, I’m grateful not just for the work He’s given me, but for the quiet moments He provides in the middle of it. Those moments are a gift.
