My mission became to specialize in books by and about Thomas Merton who was a Trappist monk at the Abbey of Gethsemani, Kentucky. I have a nice selection of out-of-print books as well as CDs for those who still use them.

When Merton created the idea of a journal of writings contributed by friends of his, he said in the first issue “The purpose of this magazine is to publish a few issues devoted to poetry and to some unusual prose and then go out of business. At present no more than four issues are planned.”
This second issue came from the library of Jim Forest who wrote the biography Living With Wisdom / A Life of Thomas Merton / A Life of Thomas Merton. Forest’s signature is on the inside of the cover.
Includes poems by Louis Zukofsky, Jack Kerouac, Alfred Starr Hamilton, Raymond Roseliep, Emmett Williams, Paul Klee, Geoff Hewitt, Halvard Johnson, Robert Zmuda, Goerge Hitchcock, Thomas Merton, Reza Arasteh, M Paul Vandre, Wendell Berry, Hayden Carruth, Russell Edson, Ron Seitz, Ronald Anthony Punnett, Jonathan Greene, Robert Lax.
