🩷 Small Business Shoutout Monday!

Today I’m shouting out Marianne Wilson, author of Barrels & Bluegrass! Marianne is a phenomenal person and author, and her book has been a Tropes bestseller since its release this year! 🐎

This is one of those books that’s just SO easy to recommend. Whether you’re new to romance or have been reading it for years, this closed-door cowboy romance is full of beautiful friendships, swoony moments, and ALL the emotions. It’s such a beautiful story and the perfect reminder that romance doesn’t have to be spicy to make you feel everything. ❤️

If you love a good cowboy romance with lots of heart, you need this one on your TBR!

And yes, we have LOTS of pictures at Tropes because I get Marianne in every chance I get! 😂🩷

📚 Barrels & Bluegrass by Marianne Wilson is always available at Tropes Romance Bookshop!

🖤 Wanna spoil your boo this Halloween… or treat yourself to something special?

Our Tropes Boo Baskets are officially HERE, and these are a little more than your average gift basket.

Including a Stanley tumbler, a plush throw blanket, a luxury candle, gourmet chocolate, a romance book, and carefully selected bookish extras, all brought together in one beautiful gift.

Each basket has its own color palette and personality, with over $170 in retail value for $130.

And because presentation matters, every basket will be wrapped in clear cellophane, finished with a bow, and styled with faux spiderwebs for a subtle Halloween touch. It’s the kind of gift that feels special the moment you see it, with pieces your recipient can enjoy long after Halloween is over.

Three baskets. Three unique color combinations. $130 each.

Already own the featured book? Book swaps of comparable value may be requested, subject to availability.

Want to surprise someone in the Bardstown area? Local surprise delivery is available by arrangement. Friday, October 30, will be our main delivery day, with other dates available before Halloween. Preferred delivery times are before 10 AM or after 6 PM.

I’m starting with just three baskets while I see how much interest there is. If these sell well, I may put together another round.

Whether you’re shopping for someone you love or picking out a little luxury for yourself, these were made to make someone feel special.

🌌 Meet me at midnight… 🌙

ACOTAR is coming to Tropes, and we’re planning a night of themed drinks, crafts, games, photo opportunities, and a little Night Court magic! 🖤✨

I’m so excited to celebrate A Court of Splintered Harmony with you! I’ll be placing my final book order on October 16th, so I wanted to share all the preorder details for anyone wanting to join us or grab a copy!

🌙 MIDNIGHT RELEASE PREORDER

If you’re joining us for the midnight release on October 26th, here’s a little of what you can look forward to:

🍹 Special themed drinks
🎨 A themed craft and games
📸 A 360 photo booth and photo opportunities
👑 An ACOTAR costume contest with a trophy and your choice of a Tropes gift basket or the seventh book!
🩷 A themed bookmark and sticker
✨ Snacks and a few surprises!

The celebration will begin at 11:30 PM on October 26th and continue until 12:30 AM on October 27th!

📚 REGULAR RELEASE PREORDER

Can’t make it to the midnight release? You can absolutely preorder a copy for regular release, too! Your preorder will include an ACOTAR-themed bookmark and sticker.

We’ll open our doors at 10 AM on October 27th, and if you can’t make it in that day, you can pick up your book anytime afterward!

🏡 LOCAL DELIVERY

Live locally but can’t make it to the shop? No worries! If you live within Bardstown city limits, just specify in your preorder message that you’d like local delivery, and I’ll arrange to drop your book off!

📖 WHAT IF I DON’T PREORDER?

I’ll have a limited number of extra copies available for purchase at midnight and again the next morning when we open. Extras aren’t guaranteed, and purchasing a book that evening doesn’t guarantee the full midnight release experience and its included perks.

🩷 Whether you’re staying up with us or picking up your book later, I’m so happy to help you get your copy!

🖤 Monday Small Business Shoutout: Anna Moss Roberts tattoo

We’re starting something new at Tropes! Since Mondays are usually a quiet day on our social media, we thought it would be a fun way to show some love to the small businesses, artists, and authors. ❤️

For our very first shoutout, I have to share Anna Moss Tattoo! Anna has done several of my tattoos, including some of my favorite book-inspired pieces! The hands holding books are from Her Soul to Take, and the books and sword are also mine. 🖤

One of my favorite things about Anna is that you can give her a few ideas or elements you love, and she’ll turn them into something beautiful and completely your own. She draws all of her designs herself, is so sweet and easy to work with, and truly does amazing work! She’s located in Brandenburg, and I can’t recommend her enough.

Please go show her some love and check out her work!

If you own a small business or are an author with a new release you’d love for us to share, send us a message! We’d love to get you on the schedule for an upcoming Monday. ❤️

Let’s show some love to the talented people in our community!
