❤️ A HEARTFELT MESSAGE FROM GRACE UPON GRACE: ANOTHER GRACE MOMENT ❤️
We want to be completely honest with our community.
Grace Upon Grace: Another Grace Moment is at a crossroads.
We are very close to having to make the heartbreaking decision to close our doors.
Our rent alone is $1,750 every month, and that does not include utilities, insurance, supplies, or the other expenses that come with keeping our doors open.
The truth is, we aren't bringing in enough money through the store to cover the rent.
And we want to be clear — it's not because people aren't coming through the door.
People ARE coming in.
People are looking.
People are talking with us.
People are seeing what we're trying to build.
But too often, people leave without purchasing anything.
And we're not saying that to blame anyone. We understand that money is tight for a lot of families right now. We understand that everyone has different needs, different budgets, and different reasons for shopping — or not shopping — at a thrift store.
But we need to understand something:
What does our community actually want from us?
If we're going to continue, we need to make sure we're providing something that our community truly wants and needs.
So we're asking you — please be honest with us.
🛍️ What would make you want to shop at our store?
👕 What kinds of clothing do you want to see?
🏠 What household items are you looking for?
💰 Would different pricing make a difference?
🎨 Would special sales, $1 days, fill-a-bag sales, or themed sales bring you in?
👨👩👧 Would you like more children's items?
👞 Shoes?
👜 Purses and accessories?
🛋️ Furniture?
📚 Books?
🧸 Toys?
🏫 School supplies?
🎄 Seasonal items?
Or is there something completely different that you would like to see?
And beyond the merchandise...
What would make Grace Upon Grace feel like a place you WANT to come to?
Would you like community nights?
Workshops?
Family activities?
Resource events?
A community closet?
A place to sit and talk?
Special shopping events?
Something we haven't even thought of?
Tell us.
We aren't asking because we have everything figured out.
We're asking because we don't want to close without first listening to the people we opened these doors for.
Grace Upon Grace: Another Grace Moment was never supposed to be "just another thrift store."
Our hope has always been to create a place where people can find resources, find help, find someone willing to listen, and most importantly, find a little bit of grace when they need it.
But good intentions don't pay $1,750 in rent.
We need our community to help us figure out whether there is a way forward.
If you have ever walked through our doors, donated to us, shopped with us, encouraged us, volunteered, shared one of our posts, or simply believed in what we're trying to do — we need to hear from you now.
Please comment below.
Tell us what you want.
Tell us what you need.
Tell us what would make you shop.
Tell us what we're missing.
And please don't be afraid to be honest. ❤️
This isn't about defending what we've done. It's about listening, learning, and seeing if we can build something that truly works for our community.
We love this community.
We believe in this mission.
And we're not ready to give up.
But we can't do it alone.
So, Barnesville… what do YOU want to see from Grace Upon Grace?
