The last Homestead Antiques (30 Jensen Rd. Barre, Vermont) sale of the season is officially in the books, and I am feeling a lot of gratitude.

The barn was busy, the treasures were finding new homes, and there was much laughter, conversation, and happy hunting going on. I loved every minute of it.

And looking through these photos of all of you heading home with your finds just makes me smile. Every piece has a little mystery, a little history, and now a new story to add to its life.

Thank you for coming. Thank you for bringing your friends. Thank you for traveling from near and far.
Thank you for telling other people about the barn. And thank you for making Homestead Antiques feel like so much more than a place to buy old things.

It has become a little community of its own—and you are the reason.

Now the barn gets to rest for a while… and I get to start wondering what treasures will find their way here next season.

Until then, thank you for the best season yet!

Joven has been out shopping.
He’s coming home Friday with a van and trailer FULL of new-to-the-barn treasures. I can’t wait to see what he found!

Well… I just couldn’t resist.

I’ve decided to open the barn one more time this season — this Saturday, September 26th, from 10–4.

It should be a beautiful fall day, with temperatures in the 60s, so come on up, poke around, wander the old wood floors, and see what you might discover.

There are still plenty of treasures tucked away in here — things with stories, things with character, things you probably won’t find anywhere else.

You never quite know what you’ll find at Homestead.

Maybe something beautiful.

Well… I just couldn’t resist.

What a day at 30 Jensen Rd. in Barre! Today was the first day of our two-day weekend sale at Homestead Antiques, and I just have to say… I cannot believe how much fun this is! I love seeing the barn come alive with people wandering, discovering, remembering, and taking something special home with them.

The barn wasn’t even that chilly,
tomorrow may be a different story. It might rain. It might be windy. It might be downright Vermont-ish.
So bundle up, bring your sense of adventure, and come on over and explore.

🍂 HOMESTEAD ANTIQUES — MAYBE THE LAST WEEKEND! 🍂Opening at 12 noon both days!

I’m thinking this may be my last weekend of the season at the barn — Saturday & Sunday, September 19th & 20th.

And since Vermont is definitely reminding us that fall is here, I’m changing the hours a bit. The mornings have gotten pretty chilly in the barn, so we’re going to let the day warm up a little before opening the doors.

12pm - 5pm

If you’ve been meaning to come, this might be your last chance for a while. There are still plenty of wonderful old things waiting to be discovered — and, as always, you never quite know what mystery the barn will reveal.

Come wander, look around, say hello, and maybe take home something with a little history.

A WEEKEND AT HOMESTEAD ANTIQUES: 30 Jensen Rd.
Barre, VT

There’s something about an old barn filled with old things. You come looking for one thing… and leave with something you’ve never seen before.

Maybe it’s an old quilt, a piece of pottery, a painting, a basket, a piece of furniture, or some little treasure with a story attached to it.

And sometimes the best part is simply wandering around, talking, remembering, and wondering who owned these things before us.

Homestead Antiques will be open this weekend: Saturday & Sunday,

We had another wonderful two days in the barn. We met so many interesting people, new faces, old friends, and people who had never been here before. Some came from Bristol, some from Waitsfield and many new families who have moved to Barre recently!

And that’s one of my favorite thing, you never know who is going to walk through the door and what conversation might happen.

The barn has its mysteries. But sometimes the most interesting mysteries are the people who find their way here. Thank you to everyone!
