Dear Friends of Taproot,
This Thanksgiving we take a final bow and announce to you that it is because of YOU that Taproot Bookstore has enjoyed 27 years of offering our services: books, random merchandise, spiritual tools of many descriptions, advice, encouragement, smiles, hugs, laughter and fun, However, the time has come for us to step down and take advantage of trying out our rocking chairs. Yep, we are retiring!

We opened our first store in Whitinsville, Ma in 1997. It was 2000 when we expanded and opened our store in Worcester, Ma. Closure of the Whitinsville store followed. In 2017 we opened our present store in Barre, Ma - our hometown. In 2022 we closed the Worcester store but turned the keys over to our faithful employee, Tracy. She transformed it into Taproot Treasures.

Once again, we are so especially thankful this Thanksgiving Season for YOU because YOU gave us an amazing and unforgetable 27 years of life changing memories.

So, next time you pass by Barre Common, take a look. We just might be sitting on a park bench warmed by those memories - stop by and say 'Hello!' And, as we truly feel, we'll begin collecting our pensions which are the smiles you've put on our faces and in our hearts.
