The Christmas Dove was founded in 1973 in Barrington, New Hampshire, the hometown of founders Linda and John Svenson. Their idea was complicatedly simple. Linda wanted to create a beautiful place to shop; John a fun place to shop. It has taken over thirty years and over 16,000 square feet to accomplish and seamlessly coordinate both visions. Wander past hundreds of Christmas trees, wreaths and garlands custom themed and made on premises with Linda Svenson's timeless elegance. Play with our interactive Lionel train layout. Or simply sit on one of the benches on our Holiday Main Street or theater and immerse yourself in the joy and beauty of Christmas. We hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! We enjoyed seeing so many of you for the most unexpectedly busy VDay of the past few years - with the 14th falling on a Saturday we expected a quieter flower holiday, but nope! Thank you all, and thanks to our amazing designers! Now we turn our attention to the next sign of spring! Last year we added a small collectible card display to our Vintage themed room… and it was well received. We’re just having fun with this, but as long as you and your families are as well, we’ll keep it going. We have done a “Spring Training Restock.” So drop in and take a look. A bountiful shipment of personalizable ornaments also arrived last week and we’re expecting lots of pallets of decor in the coming days! Spring is coming to New Hampshire!

Our famous “not every year but Sometimes after Christmas” sale will return beginning Saturday December 27th at 10am. Nearly store wide savings of up to 50% off on some amazing decor like really cool and beautiful ornaments, amazing lights, designer Prelit trees, picks, ribbons, nutcrackers, candles, nativities and table decor… a really good end of year selection! Some exclusions apply including but not limited to - our Artists’ Gallery, fresh floral, cuckoo clocks, sports cards, toys and large scale display pieces will not be 50% off. Toys and our large display pieces such as our exquisite 27” Fontanini nativity pieces, life size Santas, and the like will enjoy a nice 33% discount. We hope you enjoy! All of us here at the Christmas Dove hope you and yours had a well deserved exceptionally Merry Christmas! Thank you all for another wonderful season. We are truly nothing short of honored year after year to be part of so many family memories. The gang is already planning out the new Christmas 2025 themes and displays, and while we can’t leak anything yet, we think you’ll be excited.

To clear the way for all the new, we need help parting ways with some of the old, that for whatever reason (usually price point) didn’t quite stick its landing.

Beginning tomorrow, Friday 12/27 at 10:00, and running through New Year’s Eve, Tuesday 12/31 at 5:00, we’ll be offering a mostly store wide discount of 50% off. Some limited exceptions will apply, if you have questions please call before making the drive over. 10 til 5 daily.

Also, starting on Saturday 12/28, we’ll open up our popular Hallway of Misfit Toys. This traditionally includes items ranging from scratched and dent to just… well we liked the items waaaay more than y’all did. Prices in the Hallway reflect a much deeper than 50% discount. We just want to see our misfits find a loving home.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you and yours.

Oh, also, we will be giving the elves New Year’s Day off, but we will return to our normal 10-5, 7 day schedule on January the 2nd.
