You know I like to keep things pretty light around here. A little sarcasm, a little nonsense, and usually something that makes me laugh.
But every once in a while, I like to talk about the meaning behind the things we choose to wear, too. Because that’s actually a pretty big part of why I started The Clover Exchange in the first place.
And that brings me to Laura.
Laura Honeycutt is the woman behind Arete Adorned, and you know I have a soft spot for women who make things themselves. Especially with intention. She designs and makes every piece by hand, working with solid gold and sterling silver at her bench in Colorado. No mass production. No outsourcing.
I love the way she describes her process: “I don’t force a piece,” she says. “I let the metal and gemstones tell me it’s the right one.”
For this week, Laura created a small batch of her Say the Word necklaces stamped with one word: enough. And I love everything that one word can mean.
